This newly revised qualification is a replacement for the old CPP50911 Diploma of Building Design, which has now been superseded. The 2020 review of the building design qualification framework now presents with this revised award providing a more directed and focused approach aimed more directly towards those candidates seeking to pursue a career as a Designer and looking to achieve the academic requirements for licensing as a Building Designer with relevant associations. This qualification provides for a deeper examination of all building classification types, and underpinned by the development of analysis and synthesis in the generation of design solutions. Onward articulation into the Advanced Diploma of Building Design [and beyond] is available through completion of competency in this qualification.

Digital Construction Academy is a fee-for-service Registered Training Organisation. This means we invoice students directly and do not engage directly in any with the VET Fee Help arrangements [out of choice]. Our standard method of fee collection is by internet bank transfer.
We do provide structured Payment Plans for student fees, which allow the overall cost of tuition to be spread across study duration in sequential instalments.
There are discounting options available for students undertaking course elements by RPL [Recognition of Prior Learning].
We also provide concessionary rates for those students who can provide evidence to support such applications. Concessions are generally provided for Health Care Card holders, and other similar status.

The Diploma of Building Design will develop a sophisticated practical skill set which is driven by the design of project work for a variety of building classifications. Additionally, underpinning knowledge will be developed in relation to greater sophistication of the understanding of design compliance for both planning and building approval, as well as knowledge pertaining to the routine management of building design projects.
Industry-standard Revit modelling production, including: complex architectural information, features and systems the development of custom modelling and detailing features more sophisticated graphic output, including rendering and animation effective and fluent presentation output Management aspects aspiring to the role of licensed Building Designer, including: construction specifications contract management business operations
Candidates will have had prior experience in using standard AutoCAD solutions, and may have perhaps had some experience in Revit fundamental processes – the Diploma will take candidates much further.
